It’s a play on the words “entropy” and “end dropí”, dropí being the Greek word for “shame.” We found our golden section where chaos and freedom meet. Some of us punks, some of us queer, all of us politically minded and in need of a place to call our own. “Funny you should say that…” Flash forward a year and Endropi has just celebrated its one-year anniversary.Įndropi started as a collective of women and non-binary individuals to share ideas, experiences, anxieties and hopes, at an irregular frequency, as a proactive reaction. “With people who haven’t yet had the run of the town, you know?” Vicky’s eyes sparkled in response. I had missed working on projects with punks, but I was also after something with a feminist framework. I was an active part of my local DIY punk scene before I left, so I felt it was time to get my hands dirty again, make some shit happen.

I grew up in Greece, but at 26 moved to the US for four years, then I bounced around a bit for a couple years and eventually returned to my hometown in 2017. I had just celebrated my one-year anniversary of being back in my country and I was feeling restless. With love from the clogged plughole of Greece (Athens duh!)Ībout a year ago, I was sitting at my local collective café in Exarhia, in Athens, with my friend Vicky. Until next time, take extremely good care of each other. I’m pretty proud of what we’ve done so far. In other news, my band Hekáte and I have been busy finishing up some songs for a demo tape (coming Winter 2019). We also made new tote nags (ideal for vinyl!) with a design by my lovely friend Nathalie Magdenel. Poster by yours truly, with lettering by Lefteris Yakoumakis. With them: raging hardcore darlings Lucta from Milan, Italy, Athens-via-Volos fuckwave lords Gay Anniversary with their new album “Music for Families” ( Είσοδος Κινδύνου Records) and a fabulous Vanity Show by Tranny & the Bear featuring L’Étranger (Athens). In light of their 20th anniversary as one of the trailblazers of the global queercore punk scene, Limp Wrist visit Athens for the first time, two years after their latest, kicking record “Facades” (LVEUM).
